FAQs

1. Do I need an appointment?

For trying on bridal gowns, YES. An appointment is highly recommended. You are always welcome to stop in and browse our great selection of bridal gowns, bridesmaid dresses, and tuxedos. However, an appointment will guarantee you a fitting room and a professional bridal consultant to assist you in finding the perfect gown. No appointment is needed for prom shoppers.

2. How many people should I bring with me?

We offer intimate viewing areas that seat 2 guest comfortably. We can add a few chairs to accommodate parties up to four. We have found groups larger than four can be distracting to the bride and take away from her special experience. Pick a few people who love you to come and your experience will be a lot more enjoyable and you will have a better chance of being successful in your quest. It's great to have one or two people who are close to you to give you honest opinions but bringing too many people to "poll the audience" is a recipe for disaster that may make you miss out on your perfect gown. In the end, the only opinion that truly counts when picking a wedding gown is YOURS!

Special arrangements can be made for larger groups, such as private Sunday or weekday appointments. (Fee applies to private appointments.)

3. How long is my appointment?

Due to high demand, Saturday appointments are limited to 90 minutes. Longer appointments can be accommodated on weekdays.

4. What should I bring with me?

A few things are needed for your appointment, first and foremost, appropriate undergarments. A professional bridal consultant will be assisting you in the dressing room and health codes require under pants for trying on.

Bring ideas of styles you like. Most brides have been looking at photos on pintrest and admiring dresses. This is a good starting place for picking a style and can help your consultant guide you in gown selection. But remember not everyone is a six foot tall, size 4 model, so keep an open mind in gown selection.

It is also a good idea to think about your budget. Our dresses range in price from $99 up to $2500. The national average for a gown is around $1400.

You are welcome to bring non-messy drinks to your appointment. Many brides enjoy a Champaign toast when they find "the one." Please do not bringing food or red wine.

5. Do you have a seamstress?

We have spent many years searching for the best seamstress in town. And we found her! We work with Kathy from Perfect Alterations. She is a skilled seamstress with decades of experience in formal wear alterations. Her sewing studio is located in the back of our store. Kathy does take in dresses purchased from other shops, however she offers our customers priority and a discounted rate. You can call her to schedule an appointment at 728-5505.

6. What are my payment options?

We offer layaway with flexible payment terms. Off the rack dresses require a minimum payment of only 20% down and payments once a month. Special order gowns require a minimum of half down. We accept all major credit cards.

7. Where are you located?

We have moved a few times and several maps and websites are not up to date with our current address. We are located at 2150 South Ave. West. About two blocks from the Dillard's end of the Mall, next to the car wash.
Parking is available on the street in front of the building and angle parking on the side street.
